You’ll meet the crew just outside Buxton, either first thing in the morning or later on in the calm of early evening. The balloon is unpacked and the envelope spread out across the launch field — the first quiet step in getting ready to fly. Setup usually takes about an hour.
You’re free to get involved or just stand back and enjoy the fresh air and changing light as the burners fire up and the balloon slowly takes shape.
