From the A515, turn at Tissington Gates crossroads and follow the tree-lined avenue into the village. Park on the right in front of Tissington Hall, then allow around 10-15 minutes to walk down to the launch field.
There is no passenger parking in the parkland itself. Ballooning is wind-led and nearby alternative launch sites may occasionally be used when conditions make that the better option.

Where do Tissington balloon flights take off from?
The main Tissington launch point is at The Green in Tissington, near Ashbourne. Ballooning is weather and wind dependent, so a nearby alternative launch site may occasionally be used when conditions make that the better option.
How long does the ballooning experience last?
Allow around three to four hours for the complete experience. That includes arrival and briefing, balloon preparation, around an hour in the air, landing, the post-flight celebration and transport back towards the launch area.
