THE ADVENTURE BEGINS…
You’ll meet the crew just outside Bakewell early in the morning, while the air’s still cool and the hills are quiet. Once you arrive, the balloon is unpacked and the envelope rolled out — the first step in getting ready to fly. It usually takes about an hour to get everything prepared.
You’re welcome to help with the setup if you’d like, or just watch as it all comes together. The burners will fire up, the balloon will start to fill, and before long, the basket’s upright and almost ready to go.
