Your day starts early, just outside Buxton. As the sun begins to rise, you’ll meet the crew and watch as the balloon is laid out and slowly prepared for flight. The morning air is usually crisp, the light soft, and everything feels calm and unhurried. It takes about an hour to get ready.
You’re welcome to help out if you’d like, or simply enjoy the stillness and watch the balloon take shape as the first light catches the hills around you.

Your pilot will point out local features as you drift along — some you might know, others you’ve never seen from this angle. It’s peaceful up there. The only real sound is the occasional burst of the burner and the quiet movement of the air around you.
